This store is helpful and even though it doesn’t look the best at least there is a store with good prices
SUNDAYS are dollar days - that means everything (of the announced price tag color) is $1.00! The way it works is Goodwill items have color coded price tags: BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, PURPLE, and RED. Every SUNDAY, two of these colors (TBA) go on sale for $1.00. That means clothes, furniture, electronics, appliances... everything of that announced color. Plan to get there when the store opens at 10:00 AM. I rated three stars because it is a thrift store so you should expect the thrift store experience in terms of cleanliness, product selection, etc. Consider donating - they are taken in the back of this location. Someone else may really need that item that has been sitting in your closet unused for years!
They used to sell vintage audio equipment here, haven't seen any in a while though
Yes, the store is extremely disorganized and may not be the cleanest. (I personally wouldn't purchase any clothing items.) But the store does shine with two things. First, they always have an interesting assortment of books from all eras. I personally love old cookbooks from the 80s-00s, and I have usually picked one or two up every trip. Where it does tend to shine however, is with retro electronics, which is something that I collect. If you have a lot of VHS tapes that you don't want to get rid of, you can always find a VCR there. (I've even found Beta machines there before!) If you like music, they always have some stereo equipment there, even docks for modern iPod/MP3 players. It's also great for other 80s-90s electronics like clock radios, televisions, kitchenware and phones. (One time, I found one of the original 80s Snackmaster grills that Cathy Mitchell used to advertise back in the day, and I even found a late 80s video phone there once!) Unlike some of the Goodwill stores, they have electrical outlets near the electronics so you can test what you're looking at to avoid something being dead when you get it home. Sometimes you get lucky with the videotapes, DVDs, records, computer software and video games, but that's far and in between. (I even once picked up a sealed copy of Nero DVD authoring software for just $2!) So while this particular location isn't for everyone, if you are into anything retro, you're bound to come out with something cool. However, don't expect the cleanest environment or the most helpful staff there. This store is for the most part, shop on your own free will.
Nasty! The smell was horrendous. Barely had any merchandise and the workers were unhelpful. The merchandise that they did have was old and very outdated, I know it's a Goodwill but damn at least try to sell items from this century. Did I mention the place smelled like mold? Truly disgusting and never going back there ever again!
