Customer service is nice, friendly and approachable.
My only complaint if any would be that it takes a long time for certain kinds of foods, so my suggestion to solve that would be to call and place your order 30 minutes ahead and you should be a happy customer.
We had T. Wake's cater a party for us and we were just blown away! The service was wonderful. We felt like family. Good old home cooking. The food was just amazing. All of our guests raved about it. You can tell they put love into their cooking. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!
Beef ribs are hard to find in this area and they have them. Bake beans ,yummy and the red roasted potatoes, very full of flavor.
TL:DR; go with the brisket and ribs, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw or onion rings. Longer version: This is a diamond in the rough. Absolutely the nicest folks and amazing BBQ. It is a pretty nondescript plaza with random stores but tucked in is the place you need to visit for BBQ. The ribs are just the right amount of meat to bark with a touch of fat to add to the taste. The brisket is drop dead amazing and I am pretty sure I had a religious experience. My family is a mix of GF/DF and a picky eater and they both were thumbs-up for this one, easily finding stuff to match their needs!
This family owned and operated restaurant was the perfect place to go when my craving for ribs overcame me. The food was tasty and the service was friendly. My family sampled the ribs, wings, mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and corn bread. Everything tasted home cooked and not out of a can. Everything was perfectly seasoned and there was no need for a salt or pepper shaker on the table. This will definitely be our go to BBQ place when we are in town.
Just finished eating the best BBQ in the area. All homemade & cooked to order. I ate the brisket, which almost melts in your mouth, I wanted the pulled pork but they run out of that real quick. The sides of mac n cheese & vegetables are homemade & it makes you feel like you're eating in their dining room, the ole fashioned way!! Eat in or take out..cooked to order. Do your taste buds a favor & try it. You'll be coming back..as we will!!
This place would definitely get more business if they were located in a more accessible location.
