We live in a mobile home, which seems a little trickier for improvements. I'm glad we read the review here and went! From meeting Bob to the expert installer to the follow-up call from Don, everything is very well done with attention to detail and the customer in mind. They are very honest and enjoy helping people, no matter the project size!
I decided to change the carpet in a large 20 x 22 room. Over the next couple of weeks I visited Home Depot, Lowes and Avalon. Since, I occasionally drive pass Atlantis Flooring on English Creek Ave., I decided it couldn't hurt to stop in and take a look even though it is a smaller operation. Upon entering I met Don Smith the owner. I found him to be very personalable and a good listener. After explaining the type of usage the room got he recommended that instead of carpeting I should use CORTE TEC flooring. I then decided to get another opinion and went back to Avalon. What bothered me about Avalon was that I received some inaccurate information. Also Avalon only lets you take out two samples at a time and you also have to leave a credit card deposit. At Atlantis, Don let me take out as many samples as I wanted and trusted me to return them. This made it a much easier process to narrow down which flooring to choose since I had many different samples in the room at the same time! Don, was also very knowledgeable and I found him to be very honest in his answers to my questions and the information he gave me. I was then concerned about the installation since the floor is only as good as the installation. Don told me that whether I used Avalon or Atlantis he felt most of the installers were good and did nice work. When it came to pricing Don at Atlantis was also better than Avalon. Also, Atlantis installed the floor in one week where Avalon told me it would take two to three weeks. I am also very handy and I can tell you that Don's installers were very personable and did excellent work. I am extremely happy with the installation the floor and the the pricing from Atlantis.
